Network Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide remote and on-site server/workstation/network support and maintenance
• Install applications and operating systems on customer hardware
• Investigate user problems and identify their source; determine solutions; test and implement solutions
• Configure and install servers (Windows 2016-2022), firewalls (Cisco, SonicWALL, Meraki, Fortinet), switches (Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Unifi) and other related equipment, devices and systems
• Work in conjunction with the Project Manager to implement projects successfully
• Review scope of work and perform implementation of projects
• Create thorough and accurate documentation on all projects and support incidents

Knowledge Requirements:

• Strong Networking, CLI, Configuration Knowledge
• Strong knowledge with Microsoft 365 Administration
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure, Office365 Applications, SharePoint Online, AVD
• Experience with systems administration tasks, such as Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policies etc.
• All Windows desktop and server operating systems
• RMM platforms such as ConnectWise Automate
• Familiarity with Cisco, Meraki, Aruba, Dell, SonicWALL network equipment
• Familiarity with security products such as EDR, Vulnerability Management, MFA, Spam filter, DNS Protection etc.
• Experience with VMware and Hyper-V virtualization platforms
• Experience with Backup products such as Datto, Veeam
• SAN Storage experience with Nimble, HP, Dell
• Citrix Environments knowledge is a plus
• PowerShell scripting knowledge is preferred
• All Microsoft Office Productivity Suites
• Apple product knowledge a plus

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of experience supporting and implementing network & systems infrastructure solutions
• Previous MSP experience is a plus
• Previous ConnectWise Manage experience is a plus
• Professional, Industry, and/or Vendor certifications are a plus Strong technical knowledge and understanding of SMB networks, infrastructure, and equipment. Certifications such as CCNA, SNSA, Azure Administrator Associate or equivalent are preferred
• Strong multitasking and time management skills
• Ability to concisely document issues and resolution steps
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
